SoFi is seeking an Investment Specialist II to support members and new customers in building their financial futures through SoFi's investment services, including brokerage, robo-advisor, and retirement accounts.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to members, providing support via phone, chat, and email. Your responsibilities include educating members on investment products (margin, options, equities), assessing their financial situations and goals, and helping them open and manage investment accounts. You'll troubleshoot operational and technical issues, monitor member accounts for accuracy, and work with the custodial platform to facilitate account transactions.
Key duties include:
- Conduct inbound calls to assess member financial situations and goals
- Educate members on brokerage and robo-advisor account benefits and processes
- Explain investment performance and decisions to wealth members
- Provide operational support for investment-related questions
- Collaborate with management and product teams to improve processes and platforms
- Maintain detailed account monitoring with strong attention to accuracy
You must hold one of these licensing combinations: Series 7, 63, & 65 OR Series 7 & 66, and maintain all required professional certifications. A bachelor's degree is preferred, though relevant experience may substitute. You'll need 2+ years of financial services experience, preferably in a customer service environment, with deep understanding of financial concepts, margin, and options regulations.
Ideal candidates are self-starters with excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer-first mindset. You should be organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable iterating and learning. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with corporate actions, margin/investment risk, Series 4, or Series 24 licenses.
