Internal communications at Multiverse is a strategic function, not a downstream one. You will own the story Multiverse tells itself internally, ensuring every colleague understands who the company is, why it matters, and where it's heading.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a living messaging framework capturing Multiverse's identity, mission, and strategic direction, evolving it as the business grows
- Produce internal briefing materials ahead of major external moments (regulatory decisions, product launches, policy developments) so leadership and colleagues are informed first
- Create and maintain internal FAQs and "what to say if asked" resources that equip all colleagues to be confident ambassadors
- Own All Hands editorial strategy: theme, narrative arc, content commissioning, speaker preparation, and impact measurement
- Support the exec team with internal-facing communications (town halls, written updates, video messages) ensuring consistency with external narrative
- Establish a rhythm of regular leadership communication beyond quarterly All Hands, keeping colleagues informed week-to-week
- Lead the employee story content program: learner outcomes, team culture, career progression, mission moments, aligned with recruitment marketing
- Partner with People team on cultural moments to ensure coherent, on-brand messaging
- Own and optimize internal channels (Slack, intranet, email newsletters): decide content placement, frequency, format, and build measurement into strategy
- Collaborate with Data & Insights and wider Comms team to translate internal performance data into compelling narratives colleagues can understand and repeat
- Develop a measurement framework for internal comms effectiveness (informed colleagues, strategy understanding, narrative articulation) and report quarterly to Director of Communications
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience leading internal communications in fast-moving, complex organizations, with demonstrated ownership of narrative, channels, and leadership communications
- Strong, instinctive writer and editor; able to sharpen leadership messages, town hall scripts, and sensitive change announcements
- Ability to translate data into compelling stories: convert customer ROI evidence, learner outcomes, and operational metrics into narratives every employee can articulate
- Fluency with AI tools to accelerate work while applying rigorous human judgment to all external-facing communications
- Calm, clear-headed under pressure; comfortable drafting sensitive internal communications in real time during external scrutiny and confident advising leadership on tone and timing
- Operational strength with Slack, intranet, and email platforms
- Ability to partner effectively with senior leaders: hold your own with exec team, provide honest counsel, build trust quickly
- Thrive in networked organizations, collaborating fluidly across People, Product, Tech, Data & Insights, and Comms teams
- View All Hands and leadership comms as strategic levers, not logistics; track record of driving genuine alignment
- Belief in Multiverse's mission to equip workers to win in the AI era
