Mistral is building full-stack AI solutions—from frontier models to developer tools and applications—partnering with enterprises across finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector to co-create customized AI systems.
This is a newly created Internal Communications Lead role, reporting to senior leadership. You will define and own the company's internal voice, ensuring all employees feel informed, connected, and aligned with the mission as the organization scales rapidly across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute Mistral's first internal communications strategy, including channel governance, messaging frameworks, and editorial cadences
• Design and deliver high-impact company-wide communications: All-Hands meetings, leadership Q&As, major announcements
• Create a change management playbook to guide internal communications during organizational shifts, policy updates, and strategic pivots
• Build a culture storytelling engine connecting daily work to company mission, values, and vision across multiple formats
• Establish governance and metrics to measure communications effectiveness, employee engagement, and feedback loops
• Design scalable communications infrastructure supporting rapid growth (e.g., 2x headcount expansion)
• Streamline communication flows to reduce information overload and clarify where employees access critical updates
• Conduct regular employee engagement surveys to assess effectiveness and identify improvement areas
You bring 10+ years of internal communications experience, ideally in fast-growing or scaling tech companies. You have a proven track record building and executing company-wide communications strategies from scratch, with direct experience advising C-suite and senior leadership. You are an exceptional writer who can craft crisp, engaging narratives from complex topics. You thrive in ambiguity, have strong project management skills, and experience leading through organizational change. You are comfortable working across international and remote teams.
