Jerry is a tech-enabled insurance platform modernizing car and home insurance through an AI-powered app. This role is part of the Customer Operations team, blending sales and service responsibilities to help customers navigate insurance products and manage their most important assets.
You'll handle inbound customer calls for auto, home, motorcycle, and other policies, answering questions from both shoppers and existing policyholders. The work involves deep product knowledge across Jerry's panel of insurance carriers, identifying the right fit for each customer's needs. You'll process service requests (vehicle changes, driver updates, policy documents), spot coverage gaps, highlight available discounts, and flag upcoming renewals that may spike in cost.
A key part of the role is problem-solving—removing barriers between customers and the right coverage. You'll also feed product feedback directly into the development team, with a short feedback loop so your suggestions ship quickly.
The company emphasizes a warm, fast customer experience and a strong team culture. You don't need to decide upfront whether you're sales-focused or service-focused; the interview process will help clarify the best fit. Prior experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is a plus but not required. What matters: genuine friendliness, strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and solid communication skills.
Compensation for the sales path: $19–$21/hour plus uncapped commissions, with top performers typically earning $100,000+ annually. The company offers flexible scheduling (5-day 8-hour or 4-day 10-hour weeks), full remote work with equipment provided, stock equity, P&C license sponsorship if needed, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K match, paid time off, paid parental leave).
