Salary: USD 98,000 - 148,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology, is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create engaging digital training content for deployment, maintenance, and operation of their advanced technology products. The role focuses on developing interactive CAD-based procedural training modules using Cortona3D/Siemens RapidLearning for Teamcenter, ensuring compatibility with S1000D documentation format and SCORM/xAPI standards.
Key responsibilities include designing and publishing interactive training modules, creating high-quality graphics and animations using Teamcenter or NX tools, collaborating with Curriculum Developers and Subject Matter Experts to storyboard and script course content aligned to learning objectives, and assisting in refinement of learner-facing materials using Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Figma, and other platforms. You will test and troubleshoot eLearning files for functionality and LMS compatibility, maintain project documentation and version control, create templates and visual standards for consistency, and support continuous improvement through analysis of learner feedback and LMS data. The role also involves contributing to innovation in immersive training experiences including potential AR/VR and simulation integration.
Required qualifications include 3+ years of experience developing training content in engineering, technical, or defense environments, proven expertise with RapidLearning for Teamcenter, experience with 3D CAD graphics and technical training visual assets, understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory, familiarity with SCORM/xAPI and LMS integration, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include military exposure and experience with military technical documentation standards (MIL-STD-40051, S1000D), experience modifying virtual simulator environments using TypeScript or C#, strong motion design skills in Adobe After Effects, and a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Digital Media, or related field.
