Pebl is a global HR and employment platform that enables companies to hire, pay, and manage employees across 185+ countries. This HR Specialist role focuses on seamless onboarding and offboarding for both Pebl's internal employees and its clients.
You will coordinate all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, collaborating with global internal teams (Immigration, Payroll) and external service providers. You'll provide expert-level support to clients, managing queries related to benefits, international payroll, expense reporting, and other HR matters while acting as a regional expert. Your responsibilities include managing client relationships alongside the client services team, driving employee and client satisfaction through quick timelines and consistent SLA adherence, and training new team members.
Key responsibilities include managing and auditing HR records (personal information, onboarding/offboarding documents, contracts, job-specific data), ensuring compliance with local employment law, monitoring applicable Collective Agreements, and collaborating with internal teams on regional-specific expertise. You'll identify potential issues, conduct root cause analysis, and escalate concerns to appropriate teams. As a high-growth company, Pebl expects flexibility to support all business areas.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience; 4-6 years of HR experience; fluency in Brazilian Portuguese; professional English proficiency. You must currently reside in either Medellín, Colombia, or Lisbon, Portugal. Ideal candidates are research-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and tech proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Experience with ticketing systems, product collaboration, labor law (especially Brazilian), and EOR/HR outsourcing is valued. The role emphasizes empathy, conflict resolution, and a commitment to international business.
