Sur La Table seeks an HR Manager for its Brownsburg Distribution Center (~120 year-round employees, scaling to ~375 during peak season). You will be the primary HR point person for this 396,000 sq ft operation, owning recruiting, workforce administration, employee relations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Staffing: Own full-cycle recruiting for all distribution center roles (posting, screening, interviewing, offers, Day 1 clearance). Build a seasonal hiring pipeline through career fairs and community outreach. Track hiring progress via dashboard shared with leadership. Manage temp staffing operations, agency relationships, and hours submission.
Attendance & Workforce Administration: Manage attendance tracking, timecard edits, call-off documentation, and consistent policy enforcement.
Onboarding & New Hire Experience: Facilitate orientation, ensure systems and documents are ready before Day 1, and conduct structured 15/45/90-day check-ins to surface trends for leadership.
Leave & Workers' Compensation: Own leave of absence process in partnership with AbsencePro. Provide first response on workers' comp claims and escalate complex situations with sound judgment.
Performance Management & Compliance: Pull completion and rating reports, keep leadership informed on review timelines. Coordinate monthly safety topics, annual training, and LMS compliance reporting.
Reporting & Employee Relations: Produce regular HR reports (headcount, rosters, terminations, OSHA, attendance, labor). Run recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and exit interviews. Serve as day-to-day HR contact for employees and managers.
