Source is building an AI-native operating system for global commercial construction, designed to accelerate decision-making across project lifecycles. The company is seeking an HR Business Partner to own critical people decisions as the organization scales. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this is a judgment and trust role focused on three core areas: **Hiring & Talent Strategy:** Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, write compelling job descriptions, and design structured interview processes. Set sourcing strategy across channels and balance outbound/inbound recruitment. Design hiring workflows that thoughtfully integrate AI-assisted screening while preserving human judgment for senior or ambiguous roles. Make final advancement decisions on candidates, coach interviewers with real-time feedback, and own a candidate experience that reflects Source's values from first contact through offer. **Onboarding & Integration:** Shape onboarding and training frameworks that set new hires up for success through their first year. Guide managers through 30/60/90-day reviews, identifying early warning signs before retention risks emerge. Support integration of employees joining through acquisitions, mapping roles and levels while respecting existing experience. **Employee Relations & Performance:** Serve as the trusted escalation point for sensitive employee relations matters, handled with confidentiality and sound judgment. Be the first call for managers navigating performance concerns, from informal conversations through formal performance plans and separations. Advise on compensation, promotion, and leveling decisions, applying Source's framework consistently and flagging inequities. Recognize when situations require legal review and ensure documentation and process rigor. The role emphasizes judgment over process execution. Source automates repetitive HR work so this partner can focus on reading ambiguous situations, making hard calls, and building culture that attracts and retains great talent. **Requirements:** - 5+ years as an HR Business Partner or senior HR Generalist, with a track record of owning judgment calls, not just executing process - Full-cycle recruiting experience, including writing compelling job descriptions and designing structured interview processes - Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management, and separations, with strong documentation habits and working knowledge of US employment law - Experience coaching hiring managers and interviewers in real time, not just training them in the abstract - Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization - AI-native by default: comfortable using AI-assisted recruiting and HR tools, and confident knowing when to rely on automation versus human judgment
