SingleStore is seeking an HR Business Partner and Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support for employees across India and APAC regions. This role serves as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, owning core HR operations including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll coordination, HR systems management, and local compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
Employee Experience & Relations: Act as the main HR contact for India/APAC employees and managers, providing guidance on policies and programs. Support and lead employee relations matters including coaching managers, handling concerns, and facilitating conflict resolution, with escalation of complex issues as appropriate. Partner with global HR on engagement and retention initiatives while providing regional insights.
Onboarding, Offboarding & HR Operations: Own the complete onboarding experience for India and APAC, including pre-hire documentation, Day 1 orientation, systems access coordination, and 30/60/90-day touchpoints. Coordinate compliant offboarding processes including exit interviews, payroll finalization, and systems/access changes. Maintain accurate, compliant employee records in HRIS and local systems with strict data integrity and confidentiality.
Payroll, Benefits, Systems & Compliance: Coordinate monthly payroll inputs for India and applicable APAC locations, managing hires, exits, changes, variable pay, leave, and benefits updates in partnership with Payroll and Finance teams. Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, vendor coordination, and employee queries. Utilize HR tools including ADP and GreytHR for data management and reporting. Support compliance with Indian labour laws and relevant APAC regulations, maintaining local policies and assisting with audits.
Required qualifications include 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a similar HR Generalist or HR Operations role, preferably in global tech/SaaS or high-growth environments. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential, with proven ability to build trust and partner effectively across organizational levels. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience with HR and payroll systems required; prior experience with ADP and GreytHR strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Indian labour and employment laws and HR compliance requirements essential. Demonstrated experience supporting core HR processes including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR records. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion required.
Preferred qualifications include experience supporting remote or distributed teams across multiple time zones, prior experience in multinational or matrixed organizations partnering with global HR and Payroll teams, HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or India-focused credential), and experience with HR analytics or reporting.
