Tennr is a healthtech company that solves a critical problem in the U.S. healthcare system: medical referral delays and denials. Using proprietary AI (RaeLM™), Tennr automates the extraction and routing of patient information so specialists can process referrals faster and reduce administrative bottlenecks that leave patients waiting weeks or months for care. You'll join Tennr's marketing team as a Healthcare Industry Reporter, responsible for creating original, audience-first content that educates and informs healthcare stakeholders—providers, administrators, and industry professionals. This is not traditional marketing; it's journalism-driven storytelling with a mission to create genuine value. Your core responsibilities include identifying newsworthy stories and trends in healthcare operations and referral management, conducting in-depth research and interviews with industry sources (including Tennr customers and prospects), and producing content across multiple formats: news pieces, educational resources, data analysis, and industry reports. You'll own both the editorial substance and the performance of your work, with support from design, distribution, and web teams. You'll also contribute to broader content initiatives, including occasional webinar hosting and speaker preparation for industry conferences. The role is based in Tennr's Hudson Square office in Manhattan, with a hybrid schedule: four days in-office, one day remote-optional. The ideal candidate is an experienced journalist with at least three years of professional reporting experience at a newspaper, industry publication, or media outlet. Healthcare business reporting experience is strongly preferred. You're someone who obsesses over writing craft and clarity, who digs deep to understand complex stories, and who believes audiences deserve human-written, thoughtfully reported content—not AI-generated material. A college degree is expected, or equivalent professional journalism experience.
