Salary: CAD 178,200 - 236,000 / annual
As Head of Sales for Canada, you will drive Xero's regional performance with end-to-end accountability for partner sales, enterprise accounts, account management, and new business development. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will lead a high-performing sales and account management team across Canada supporting accountants, bookkeepers, and small businesses.
Your primary focus will be on the accounting and bookkeeping partner channel, translating Xero's three-year Canadian strategy into clear annual goals and operational targets. You will nurture national partnerships with Canada's largest accounting firms, build mutually beneficial relationships, and serve as a key voice for Xero Canada at industry events.
You will coach and develop sales leaders and account managers to maintain a data-driven, supportive performance culture. Working in a matrixed organization, you will partner closely with global product, marketing, operations, and finance teams to refine Canadian product-market fit and go-to-market execution. You will collaborate with senior Canadian leaders across product, engineering, and people experience to build a healthy, supportive culture across Toronto and Calgary hubs.
The role requires proven executive leadership experience guiding sales and customer success teams to ambitious performance goals. You should have a track record of operating in matrixed organizations with the ability to influence cross-functional global stakeholders. Strong coaching orientation and dedication to developing people managers and high-performing sales professionals is essential. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with comfort acting as a strategic spokesperson and C-suite partner, are required. You will make data-driven strategic choices and translate high-level strategy into local execution. Experience within or deep knowledge of accounting practice workflows and cloud software systems is advantageous.
The role offers a flexible hybrid working model based out of Toronto or Calgary offices, with regular in-office time for collaboration and team culture building, alongside flexible work-from-home options.
