Salary: USD 250,000 - 290,000 / annual
First Bite is a go-to-market platform purpose-built for food manufacturers, connecting brands with foodservice operators through operator data, CRM workflows, prospecting tools, and digital incentive programs. The company is hiring its first Head of Sales to own the entire sales function and define how the company sells as it scales.
In this role, you will own First Bite's revenue target and develop the plan to achieve it. You'll run the full sales cycle—prospecting, managing, and closing new business with VP-level buyers at food and beverage manufacturers. You'll build and coach a growing sales team, setting standards for pipeline management and forecasting. You'll also directly contribute to product strategy by bringing customer learnings into the product roadmap. Travel is expected at approximately 25% for customer meetings and industry events, primarily within the US.
You bring 10+ years of B2B sales experience with consistent quota attainment, including independently closed deals in the $50-$250k ACV range. You have proven sales leadership experience building or running a B2B sales team, including hiring and coaching sellers. You have established relationships with VP- and Director-level buyers at food and beverage manufacturers and are a known presence at major industry trade shows. You understand the full foodservice value chain—manufacturers, brokers, distributors, and operators—ideally from inside a manufacturer or from selling into the industry.
You have a track record selling software or data products consultatively, as First Bite's buyers are sales and marketing leaders focused on CRM, data, and workflows. You're comfortable with the autonomy and ambiguity of an early-stage company. Experience with AI tools for automations, prototypes, or research is a bonus.
