Rocket.Chat is seeking a Head of Product Marketing to own how the platform shows up in the market. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with the expectation that you'll help build out the product marketing function over time. You'll define messaging and positioning, own product launches end-to-end, and work closely with Product, Sales, and Partner teams to drive business outcomes.
The role focuses on a specialized buyer set: defense programs and intelligence agencies running classified networks, NATO bodies and European ministries of defense, federal system integrators and primes serving government customers, and national ministries that cannot use commercial SaaS for sensitive data. You'll translate complex technical capabilities—security architecture, deployment models, compliance frameworks—into clear, credible messaging for both technical and business buyers.
Key responsibilities include developing sales and partner enablement content that drives adoption, building alignment across Product, Sales, Partners, and Marketing, and influencing decisions that move the business forward. You'll work in a fast-paced, still-evolving environment where you thrive on change and demonstrate strong resilience.
Required experience: at least 5 years in product marketing at B2B or enterprise software companies, with a proven track record of owning messaging, positioning, and product launches end-to-end. Experience at early-stage or growth-stage software startups is essential. You must be comfortable getting genuinely fluent in highly technical product concepts and the technical audiences we sell to. Strong writing skills across formats (one-pagers, battle cards, customer stories) are mandatory. You'll report to the CMO and join the Marketing team.
