InstaLILY is an AI products and infrastructure company founded in 2023 that has raised nearly $100 million from Energize Capital, Insight Partners, and Home Depot Ventures. The company's flagship product, Lily™, is positioned as the world's first AI Forward Deployed Engineer—software that learns how a business operates, builds needed applications, and deploys them in days while remaining operational as the business evolves. Lily runs across cloud, on-premise, and edge environments through InstaLILY's Small Data Center built with NVIDIA technology. The company has achieved 5x revenue growth over the past year and has driven over $200M in new annual sales for a single customer, serving leading operators in construction, industrial distribution, logistics, healthcare, and other operationally intensive industries. This is the first product marketing hire and a solo individual contributor role—no team to manage and no agency support. You will own how InstaLILY explains and positions Lily to market. The core challenge: Lily is a new category sold to buyers (e.g., VPs of Operations) who are not shopping for AI. They want faster quotes and fewer SKU errors, not an AI agent. Your narrative must bridge that gap and hold across multiple verticals, competitive contexts, and sales conversations. Key responsibilities include: defining Lily's positioning, category, and competitive displacement; building vertical-specific narratives for construction, industrial distribution, logistics, and healthcare; owning competitive intelligence and battlecards; managing analyst relations and ecosystem positioning alongside NVIDIA, Google, and Microsoft; creating sales enablement materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, demo narratives, objection handling); developing case studies and reference stories with real customer numbers; running go-to-market launches for new capabilities; and providing pricing and packaging input based on market insights. You will work directly with founders, sales leadership, and forward-deployed engineers in production environments. The role demands strong writing that is clean, specific, and data-driven—no filler or adjectives standing in for numbers. You'll need to understand enterprise deal dynamics (six- and seven-figure deals with multiple stakeholders, procurement, security review) and possess technical curiosity to translate product capabilities into buyer value without needing to code. You must be comfortable learning unglamorous industries (distribution, construction, logistics, healthcare operations) and working with self-sufficiency in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment. Requirements: - 8+ years of work in product marketing, strategy, research, journalism, consulting, analyst work, or founding—background flexibility, but demonstrated output matters more than title - Excellent writing ability: clean, specific, no filler; this role is primarily writing-focused and competence is the minimum bar - Ability to defend a point of view and hold positions under constructive disagreement - Work samples required with application: positioning work, strategy memo, competitive teardown, or writing that shifted how people talked about something; clarify your specific contributions - Enterprise deal literacy and understanding of complex, multi-stakeholder procurement - Technical curiosity to engage engineers on product mechanics and extract buyer-relevant insights - Appetite for learning operationally intensive industries outside typical SaaS - Self-sufficiency: no team, no agency, no handoffs - AI-native: serious, beyond-surface usage of frontier AI tools in your own work - In-person availability: 5 days/week in New York office
