Amplitude, the leading AI analytics platform serving 4,700+ customers including Atlassian, Burger King, NBCUniversal, and Square, is seeking a Head of Product Marketing to define how the company brings its multi-product portfolio to market. This is a player-coach role where you'll shape the narrative across Amplitude's analytics platform, Statsig experimentation tool, and proactive AI Agents—creating differentiated positioning while ensuring each product resonates with its target audience.
You'll own the overarching product marketing strategy across the entire portfolio, developing a clear point of view on how teams at all maturity levels are building products. You'll lead go-to-market strategy for major products and launches, partnering closely with Product and Engineering from positioning through enablement and adoption. As the organization expands beyond analytics into experimentation and AI-native capabilities, you'll help shape this critical evolution.
Beyond strategy, you'll build and coach a high-performing, AI-native product marketing function. You'll set team priorities, operating cadence, and quality standards while developing PMMs into stronger strategists and storytellers. You'll turn customer and market insights into actionable strategy, influencing product decisions and experiments across the company.
You're a natural player-coach who can set strategy and lead a team while remaining hands-on—writing positioning, building narratives, jumping into customer conversations, and shaping demos. You have an AI-native mindset and a clear point of view on how AI is transforming products. You're an exceptional multi-audience storyteller who can make complex technical products compelling to engineers, useful to product leaders, and strategically important to executives.
You operate with high agency, don't wait for perfect briefs, and push your team to make first drafts, test with customers, learn quickly, and iterate. You thrive in ambiguity and excel at creating clarity when products and markets are still evolving. You're comfortable at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
Minimum qualifications: 10+ years of product marketing experience, including significant work on technical, enterprise SaaS, developer, data, or AI/ML products. Proven track record leading and developing a product marketing team while maintaining hands-on individual contributor excellence. Demonstrated success defining positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy for major launches across multi-product portfolios in complex or rapidly evolving markets. Strong experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and executive leadership to drive cross-functional alignment and business outcomes. Deep technical product marketing expertise with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and translate technical capabilities into clear, differentiated narratives.
