Amplitude is seeking a Head of Product Marketing to define how the company brings its multi-product portfolio to market, including its analytics platform, Statsig, and proactive AI Agents. This is a player-coach role where you'll set strategy and operating model for Product Marketing while staying hands-on with positioning, major launches, and cross-functional partnerships.
Key responsibilities include: defining Amplitude's product narrative and positioning across the multi-product portfolio; leading GTM strategy for major products and launches in partnership with Product and Engineering; building and coaching a high-performing, AI-native Product Marketing function; and turning customer and market insights into strategy that influences product direction.
You'll be a strong fit if you're a player-coach by nature—equally comfortable setting strategy and leading a team as you are writing positioning, building narratives, or jumping into customer conversations. You need an AI-native mindset with a point of view on how AI is changing products and how to structure PMM around it. You're an exceptional multi-audience storyteller who can make complex technical products compelling to engineers, useful to product leaders, and strategically important to executives.
You thrive in ambiguity and change, operating at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing. You're high-agency and don't wait for perfect briefs—you push teams to make first drafts, test with customers, learn quickly, and iterate.
Minimum qualifications: 10+ years of product marketing experience, including significant work on technical, enterprise, SaaS, developer, data, or AI/ML products. Proven track record leading and developing a product marketing team while maintaining hands-on individual contributor work. Demonstrated success defining product positioning, messaging, GTM strategy, and executing major product launches across multi-product portfolios.
