Ethena is building financial infrastructure for digital dollars powered by USDe. As Head of Product, you will lead Ethena's product organization end-to-end, managing and mentoring a small team of Product Managers while taking direct, hands-on ownership of Ethena Pay—a landmark consumer neobank mobile experience that will be central to the company's next growth phase.
You will define the product vision, set success metrics, and drive Ethena Pay from near-zero to launch. Across the wider product suite, you will establish product standards, coach and develop two Product Managers, and bring consistent rigor and prioritization discipline to the organization. You will operate with a lean team and limited resources, standing up much of the function's process from scratch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor two Product Managers running products across Ethena's suite, setting standards for process, prioritization, and quality
- Take direct ownership of Ethena Pay as its single accountable owner—defining vision, roadmap, and success metrics
- Build a lightweight but real product operating system: discovery, prioritization, roadmap, PRD standards, decision logs, and operating rhythm
- Establish scalable processes for support, risk, and compliance, working with legal on regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Own the product budget and manage outsourced development and agency relationships
- Scale the product team and operating culture as the business grows
- Partner closely with the CEO and CTO, reporting directly to senior leadership
You will operate as a credible peer to founders, taking over product ownership from technical founders and earning trust quickly. This is a high-ownership role spanning both people leadership and individual-contributor product ownership, requiring hands-on involvement in specs, flows, and data analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven history managing products with over 100K monthly active users
- Experience mentoring or leading other Product Managers, ideally in lean or high-growth environments
- Direct experience leading and shipping payments or banking products; deep knowledge of consumer money products
- Deeply opinionated and evidence-based approach to measuring consumer fintech products and understanding retail user behavior
- Ability to operate as a credible peer to founders, taking over product ownership and earning trust quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on by nature—comfortable with detail work (writing specs, reviewing flows, analyzing data) with minimal resources
- Strong UX judgment and design sensibility for complex customer-facing platforms
- Bias toward action and comfort delivering sophisticated products under ambiguous conditions in resource-constrained, fast-moving environments
