Logixboard builds software for the freight forwarding industry, offering a white-labeled supply chain visibility product for customers and AI-powered tools that automate data entry and document handling for freight operators. The company is distributed and product-driven, valuing high ownership and thoughtful decision-making. You will own the full people function end-to-end as Head of People, serving as the go-to resource for employees and managers on everything from performance conversations to compensation design. This is a hands-on builder's role requiring direct partnership with the CEO on nuanced people decisions with competing priorities and real judgment calls. Key responsibilities include: - Advising managers and employees through employee relations issues, conflict resolution, feedback conversations, and performance concerns - Building and running core programs: performance reviews, compensation cycles, onboarding, benefits, and policies - Managing day-to-day HR operations including benefits administration, payroll coordination, employee changes, vendor management, and compliance - Improving systems and processes where genuinely beneficial - Partnering with the CEO on strategic people decisions and business tradeoffs - Navigating people questions across multiple states and countries, including PEO/EOR arrangements - Owning or supporting recruiting as needed: sourcing, screening, interview management, external recruiter partnerships, offers, and candidate closing - Executing the full range of work from offer letters to performance management frameworks without delegation You should be comfortable operating without a playbook in complicated situations, defaulting to judgment over rigid policy, and laying out risk as a spectrum with clear recommendations. You must balance employee empathy with company needs and be willing to do both unglamorous ops work and high-stakes judgment calls. You should move fluidly between strategic thinking and execution. Requirements: - 10+ years of progressive HR/People experience, ideally in a startup or environment with broad ownership and limited infrastructure - Currently a senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager, People Operations leader, or similar role in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment - Seeking end-to-end ownership rather than a narrow functional lane - Confident in ability to learn, own, and execute unfamiliar aspects of the role - Comfortable recruiting and willing to jump into hiring when business needs it - Preference for solving ambiguous problems over applying off-the-shelf policies - Desire to work closely with CEO as a thought partner on business strategy, not just HR function
