Innovaccer is seeking a Head of Payer Marketing to own end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for the payer-facing portfolio, including Galaxy (Payer Risk & Quality, Payer Utilization Management) and the Payer Interoperability swimlane within Gravity. This is a rare combination role where one person owns strategy, go-to-market planning, messaging, pipeline generation, and team leadership—not just campaign execution against someone else's plan. Key responsibilities include: • Develop and own payer go-to-market strategy across Galaxy and Payer Interoperability, including target payer segments (health plans, MCOs, government programs), competitive positioning, and priority use cases informed by product roadmap, sales signals, and market research. • Define annual and quarterly flight plans for the payer portfolio and manage the associated marketing budget, making strategic decisions about portfolio priorities. • Drive continuous payer-specific research through buyer interviews, win/loss analysis, regulatory and reimbursement trend monitoring, and competitive analysis—converting insights into actionable decisions. • Own pipeline generation targets for the payer portfolio directly. Identify and execute Big Bets around the largest, most strategic payer deals through account-based engagement, executive touchpoints, and reference activation. • Own payer-facing messaging and positioning with deep domain fluency in risk adjustment, utilization management, quality/Stars ratings, and interoperability mandates. Write and set the narrative independently. • Serve as primary marketing partner to Galaxy's Product leader and Sales leadership, participating in product planning cadences and owning payer product launches end-to-end. • Coordinate messaging across related portfolios (Gravity's Payer Interoperability and Flow's PA/Coding/Denials work) to ensure cohesive payer-market positioning. • Represent the payer portfolio externally at payer conferences, health plan briefings, industry events, analyst calls, media, and LinkedIn, building reputation as a payer-market voice. • Build and lead a team of swimlane owners and associates executing the flight plan. Delegate operational execution with clear ownership, set outcome-aligned goals, and develop team capability. Requirements: • 10+ years of category or product marketing experience with direct experience marketing to health plans, MCOs, or government payer programs (not provider-only healthcare technology). • Strong understanding of payer operations and economics: risk adjustment, utilization management, quality/Stars ratings, government program administration (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid), and regulatory/reimbursement trends shaping payer technology decisions. • Proven track record of setting go-to-market strategy and being accountable for pipeline and revenue outcomes—not just executing someone else's plan. • Direct experience writing and owning payer-facing messaging and positioning with payer domain fluency to make independent, defensible strategic calls. • Experience as primary marketing partner to Product and Sales leadership selling into payers, participating in planning cadences and roadmap conversations. • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, delegate operational execution, and be judged on outcomes rather than personal output. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to represent the payer portfolio externally to analysts, media, and industry audiences. • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
