As Head of Partnerships (Africa), you will lead business strategy and build powerful commercial relationships to directly drive positive outcomes for Africa and diaspora communities worldwide. You'll be based in a hub location (London, Dubai, Paris, or New York) while spending 50%+ of your time in Africa. Key Responsibilities: - Own relationships with existing partners in Africa while constantly identifying and building relationships with new partners and stakeholders across the region - Negotiate commercial deals and oversee the complete process from initial meeting through go-live - Represent Taptap Send to regulators and policy makers across Africa, personifying competence and instilling confidence in all interactions - Track, analyze, and report on key metrics to understand market dynamics and opportunities - Work with the Growth team to develop and share best practices across regions - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Business Development, and Engineering teams to ensure the best product offering in the market - Serve as the internal voice of the region, advocating for market needs and opportunities You'll have the freedom to trust your instincts, make connections across Africa, and pursue commercial deals where you see opportunity. You'll be trusted to represent the business at senior levels and lead on critical relationships. Requirements: - ~10+ years of experience in high-performing, fast-paced environments (tech, professional services, finance, or similar) - Demonstrable instinct for commercial deal-making - Exposure to working with regulators and policy makers in Africa - Significant ties to Africa - "No task too small" mentality with willingness to delve into gritty details to get things done - Strong interpersonal and communication skills Nice to Have: - Fluency in a language other than English (e.g., French) - Experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or Payments
