OpenAI is seeking a Head of Marketing Technology to build the most AI-enabled marketing operations organization in the world. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, technology, data, and AI, owning the systems, infrastructure, data, and workflows that power modern marketing at OpenAI. You will define the vision and strategy for Marketing Operations & Technology, including how AI should reshape the function. You'll build and lead a team spanning marketing operations, systems, automation, data, and technical execution. Key responsibilities include owning the marketing technology roadmap (deciding what to build, buy, integrate, consolidate, or retire), establishing core infrastructure across customer and account data, identity, segmentation, campaign orchestration, lifecycle management, scoring, attribution, experimentation, and measurement. You will connect product usage, customer engagement, and enterprise buying signals so Marketing and Sales can identify and respond to demand. You'll build AI-enabled workflows and agents that connect research, strategy, creative development, campaign execution, optimization, and learning. Partnership with Engineering, Data, Product, Security, Privacy, and IT is essential to create trustworthy, adaptable systems appropriate for OpenAI's scale. Ideal candidates have 12+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, growth infrastructure, revenue systems, or adjacent technical functions at meaningful scale. You should understand CRM, marketing automation, campaign operations, customer data, lifecycle journeys, lead management, account-based marketing, attribution, reporting, and funnel performance. Deep engagement with APIs, data models, integrations, automation, AI workflows, agents, experimentation, and system architecture is expected. You should have strong judgment about when to buy, build, or combine solutions, with a track record of creating products, platforms, workflows, or operating models that materially changed how people work. Extensive AI usage and firsthand experience building or experimenting with AI-powered tools, workflows, agents, or applications is important. The ability to connect product-led adoption signals with B2B marketing and sales motions, attract and lead technical talent, and partner effectively with engineers across the company is critical. You bring strong judgment about privacy, security, customer trust, data quality, and human oversight, and are comfortable setting direction amid rapid change.
