Vitalize Care is building intelligent operational software for hospitals, starting with labor management—the largest cost center (60% of hospital P&L). The company has raised $32M+ from top-tier investors and customers, and is mission-critical software that hospitals rely on continuously.
You'll be Vitalize's first Head of Marketing, building the function from the ground up. This is a true builder's role where you'll define strategy, establish operating cadence, hire the team, and create systems for scaling. You'll remain deeply connected to the work itself—interviewing customers, shaping positioning, reviewing creative, analyzing data, and partnering with Sales—while also building and leading your team.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and build the marketing organization from scratch, defining strategy, operating model, priorities, and hiring exceptional talent
- Create a marketing engine that drives enterprise pipeline and revenue growth, working closely with Sales and Growth Operations to identify leverage points
- Spend time with customers and visit hospital sites to understand how Vitalize transforms healthcare operations; translate those insights into demand generation, thought leadership, and positioning
- Shape market perception across customers, candidates, investors, and the healthcare industry through product marketing, positioning, launches, communications, employer brand, and customer advocacy
- Recruit and develop marketers who combine ambition with humility, ownership with curiosity, and creativity with execution
You bring:
- Experience building and scaling marketing at high-growth B2B SaaS companies
- Deep understanding of how demand generation, product marketing, customer marketing, brand, communications, events, and sales enablement work together to drive enterprise growth
- Expertise in enterprise SaaS marketing with complex products and long sales cycles
- Operator's mindset: you think strategically but also execute tactically
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to move fast in a startup environment
- Passion for healthcare and understanding of hospital operations a plus
