Hedra is an AI infrastructure company building physical world models and inference systems for visual intelligence at scale. As Head of Marketing, you'll own the complete marketing function—brand, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy across all channels.
You'll be responsible for making Hedra legible to three distinct buyer profiles: developers building on the API, prosumers using the product directly, and enterprise teams evaluating deployment. This means crafting separate narrative tracks for each audience while maintaining coherent positioning across email, blog, video, and social.
In the early months, you'll execute hands-on: writing launch emails, managing the blog end-to-end in the CMS, orchestrating coordinated multi-channel launches, and leading the overall B2B and developer-first story. You'll own the positioning and messaging framework, run competitive intelligence, write or heavily edit video scripts with the Senior Video Producer, and define messaging guardrails for the social and DevRel teams.
As the organization matures, you'll transition to managing the content and social functions. This is a writing-first role where you'll draft emails, blog posts, and messaging docs rather than brief others to do so. You'll need to be comfortable operating solo in a CMS and ESP, running coordinated launches, and setting the marketing standard before hiring to meet it.
The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in product marketing with experience marketing to developers or technical buyers (APIs, dev tools, infrastructure). You're an exceptional writer with a portfolio of launch emails, blog posts, and messaging docs. You understand modern SEO and AI-search optimization (GEO, structured content, citations, LLM sourcing). You've run multi-channel launches at startups where you were the whole team, and you have or are ready for a leadership trajectory managing a small team.
You're self-motivated, independent, and able to set ambitious yet accurate timelines. You have low ego, high patience, and proactive communication. You're genuinely curious about generative AI, world models, and AI infrastructure—curious enough to read docs and try APIs yourself. Most importantly, you treat Hedra as your own and help shape the vision.
Hedra is backed by Index Ventures, a16z, and Abstract Ventures. The team is fully in-person in San Francisco with a shared passion for solving hard problems and building a generational company.
