Salary: USD 260,000 - 270,000 / annual
Lightning AI is seeking a Head of Global Events & Field Marketing to build and scale a portfolio of events that drive engagement and pipeline with key AI Cloud buyers and end-user audiences. This is a new leadership role reporting to the CMO, ideal for visionary builders who can operate hands-on while scaling teams.
You will own the marketing events strategy aligned to business goals and go-to-market initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute the comprehensive events strategy, identifying the optimal portfolio of conferences, first-party events, and field tactics to reach AI buyers and end users effectively.
- Lead collaboration with Field leadership to prioritize markets, accounts, and formats with the greatest impact on pipeline and revenue.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Growth Marketing to align events with key themes and integrated multi-channel campaigns.
- Build and scale ABM (account-based marketing) motions across the sales cycle—from pipeline creation through deal acceleration to expansion.
- Create scalable processes, templates, and playbooks to enable consistent, efficient team operations.
- Establish experimentation and AI-native automation as core operating principles, developing testing frameworks across event types.
- Hire, coach, and scale a team of event and field marketers, fostering a culture of creativity, ownership, and continuous learning.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 12+ years of experience building and scaling events and field marketing in high-growth technology companies
- Deep understanding of complex B2B buying journeys, technical buying committees, complex sales cycles, account segmentation, ABM, and sales-assisted conversion
- Sales-aligned operator with strong track record partnering directly with executive sales leadership on GEO go-to-market plans and resource alignment
- Testing mindset and operating discipline to turn learnings into repeatable programs, systems, and investment decisions
- Analytical and financial acumen with deep proficiency in attribution, pipeline modeling, and budget/vendor management
- Strong business acumen and executive presence; ability to earn trust, communicate effectively, and lead cross-functionally
- Hands-on leader comfortable building from scratch and operating at scale; experience going from 0 to N
- Willingness to travel across the region as programs require
