Vizzia serves 250+ local authorities with street cleaning and safety solutions. The company is scaling rapidly and needs faster decision-making grounded in current financial data rather than delayed reporting. You will own the finance function end-to-end: monthly close, cash position, budget, planning, and reporting that reveals where margin is actually made. A significant part of the role involves building the financial infrastructure—automating data flows from inventory and CRM systems into reporting so that a five-day close becomes predictable and repeatable. Key responsibilities: 1. Close and Cash Management: Produce P&L and cash position within five working days of month-end. Own the monthly close calendar so the rest of the company can plan around it. Actively manage working capital, collections, and payment terms rather than passively reporting them. Maintain reporting granularity down to contract and product level, not just consolidated figures. 2. Data Infrastructure: Connect inventory and CRM data to reporting systems so figures flow automatically instead of requiring manual reconciliation. Build the reporting and modeling foundations that enable leadership to make informed strategic decisions. 3. Budget, Planning & Forecasting: Build the annual budget and track actuals against it. Reforecast frequently as sales and prices move, rather than rebuilding the plan once yearly. Adapt quickly when product trajectory shifts. 4. Leadership & Board Reporting: Produce consistent board packs and investor reporting. Articulate where margin is made down to individual contracts and act on that insight through supplier negotiations and client commitments. Run scenarios that help leadership understand strategic trade-offs without blocking deliberate risk-taking. 5. Team Leadership: Manage the accounting and FP&A team, building autonomy within each person's scope. Keep the company fundraise-ready, including data room maintenance. Vizzia sells hardware and software to public sector clients, so the business involves real physical flows, working capital complexity, and a plan that moves with prices and sales dynamics. Requirements: - You have built financial reporting and close processes yourself and can explain how numbers are produced, not just what they mean - Cash management experience: you actively steer cash, not merely report it - Background in a business with real physical flows (inventory, purchasing, supply chain) and experience extracting reliable figures from complex operational systems - Proven track record owning a budget and running the plan as a living model, reforecasting against actual sales and moving prices - Ability to take a position and defend it; can articulate where margin is made down to contract level in front of leadership - Knowledge of what good investor reporting looks like; comfort with financing conversations - Experience scaling through growth phases where processes change frequently; hands-on enough to lead that change yourself
