Salary: USD 190,000 - 250,000 / annual

Vetcove is modernizing the $50B+ animal health industry with a suite of platforms including a procurement marketplace, ecommerce platform, and practice management system serving 25,000+ veterinary hospitals across all 50 states. The Head of Finance will report directly to the CEO and lead all financial planning, strategy, and operations as the company scales. Key responsibilities include owning financial strategy and long-range planning aligned with growth targets; building and scaling the FP&A function with models, dashboards, and reporting to guide business decisions; serving as a strategic business partner to department heads (Sales, Product, Operations, Customer Success) to translate financial insights into actionable strategies; overseeing all accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, tax, invoicing, and reconciliations while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls; identifying and implementing financial systems and tools (ERP, expense management, analytics) to improve accuracy and efficiency; preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and board materials; forecasting and optimizing cash flow to support growth; leading audits and tax filings as primary liaison with external advisors; analyzing key metrics and unit economics to inform pricing and resource allocation; and building and mentoring a high-performing finance team. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of strategic finance experience in growth-stage or late-stage startups, preferably in eCommerce, SaaS, or marketplace sectors. Required skills include strong FP&A and operational modeling expertise, US GAAP proficiency, experience designing financial planning processes and internal controls, cross-functional partnership ability, advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, QuickBooks expertise (QBO preferred), and familiarity with AI-native financial solutions. Bachelor's degree required. The role is 100% remote within the USA.
