The company is now launching a local team in Kuwait and seeking a Head of Finance to lead the country entity from inception.
This role is the senior finance leader accountable for Kuwait's books, records, statutory reporting, and financial control environment. The position is weighted heavily toward controllership and financial reporting, with the mandate to design the close, chart of accounts, reporting pack, and control framework correctly from the start to enable scaling without accumulating reporting debt.

**Financial Reporting & Controllership:** Own the general ledger, chart of accounts, and month-end close for the Kuwait entity aligned to group policy. Deliver the monthly reporting pack to Group Finance on schedule with variance commentary and balance sheet substantiation. Prepare Kuwait statutory financial statements and notes to publication standard, including Arabic-language reconciliation where required, statutory reserve transfers under Kuwait Companies Law, and full cross-reference checks. Ensure clean consolidation into group reporting through intercompany reconciliation, transfer pricing support, and consistent application of group accounting policies. Maintain a complete reconciliation framework covering bank settlements, receivables, merchant payables, and suspense clearing.
**Regulatory, Tax & Compliance:** Own preparation and timely submission of all Central Bank of Kuwait regulatory returns and prudential reporting. Support the licensing and authorization process with financial projections and capital adequacy analysis. Manage all Kuwait tax obligations including corporate income tax, Zakat, KFAS contributions, withholding requirements, and domestic minimum top-up tax assessment. Maintain compliance with statutory filings across Ministry of Commerce, commercial registration, social insurance, and labor requirements.
**Controls, Audit & Risk:** Design and operate the Kuwait financial control framework including delegation of authority, segregation of duties, payment and journal approval workflows, and system access controls. Own the annual external audit end-to-end including audit planning, PBC schedules, technical positions, and resolution of findings. Maintain written accounting policies and technical position papers to ensure judgements are auditable and survive personnel transitions.
**Market Entry & Leadership:** Recruit, develop, and lead a small high-calibre finance team as the market scales, building local bench strength. Act as the trusted finance voice in the Kuwait leadership team and reliable partner to Group Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Treasury.
Required qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent). 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience including a period in audit or advisory practice (Big Four) with demonstrable ownership of a controllership function. Deep, practical IFRS expertise with a track record of preparing IFRS financial statements and technical position papers that have withstood audit scrutiny. Hands-on IFRS 9 expected credit loss experience in lending or consumer finance.
