Lightsprint (YC P26) is building a collaborative product-development platform for the AI era—combining code-aware task boards, cloud coding agents, and per-task preview environments into one integrated system. This is the company's first community and developer relations hire.
You'll own community building from the ground up, serving two distinct audiences: non-technical builders shipping to production for the first time, and engineers who need to trust AI agent outputs. Your role bridges both groups, fostering peer learning and translating community feedback into product direction.
Key responsibilities include:
• Building community infrastructure: own Discord/Slack channels, design rituals (demo days, build-in-public showcases, office hours) that drive engagement and convert early users into evangelists.
• Content creation: produce demos, tutorials, templates, and technical deep-dives that educate rather than market. Show how spec-driven delivery works in practice for both PMs and engineers.
• Product feedback loop: synthesize community insights into sharp product input for founders. Identify where the product delights and where it confuses, before broader adoption.
• Public representation: speak at conferences, podcasts, and meetups. Contribute to launch posts and ongoing conversations about how AI changes team workflows.
• Launch coordination: own product releases across Product Hunt, Hacker News, X, and community channels to maximize momentum.
You'll use the product daily in real AI-cloud-agent workflows, ensuring everything you create comes from hands-on experience.
Required: 3+ years in DevRel, community building, or developer education at developer tools or technical products, ideally early-stage where you built the motion from scratch. You must be able to use the product meaningfully—no engineering background required, but you should be able to ship with AI coding tools, read PRs, and explain preview environments without notes. Exceptional written and spoken communication is essential; you make complex technical concepts feel simple and exciting to both PMs and staff engineers. Demonstrated audience-building: a community you grew, a following, newsletter, or channel showing people choose to listen to you.
Nice-to-haves: existing credibility in AI coding/agent tooling space, video content creation experience (demos, tutorials, short-form), prior experience as engineer/PM/founder, familiarity with community platforms (Discord, Circle, Luma, Common Room).
