Ashby is seeking a Head of Brand Narrative & Keynote to own the company's overarching brand and narrative strategy. This is a senior, high-visibility role reporting to the CEO that sits at the center of how Ashby tells its story to the world.
In this role, you will:
**Own Company Narrative & Messaging Framework**
Develop and maintain Ashby's differentiation story and scalable messaging framework that serves as the foundation across all business segments (Enterprise, mid-market, startup). You'll ensure consistency while allowing flexibility for segment-specific narratives. This includes maintaining proximity to the front line through Gong call analysis, customer interviews, surveys, and market research to ensure messaging reflects real buyer needs and language.
**Lead Annual Keynote Strategy**
Own the narrative arc for Ashby's flagship annual keynote (Ashby One), working directly with the CEO to shape and refine the story. You'll coordinate with the PMM team to weave product launches into the broader narrative, manage speaker development, and drive overall keynote planning and execution.
**Develop Segment-Specific Narrative**
Conduct deep research and build messaging frameworks for startup and lower mid-market audiences. You'll own narrative development and content including sales decks and enablement materials, working closely with Sales Leadership and the Enterprise PMM to maintain coherent, unified storytelling across all segments.
**Build & Scale the Function**
Spend your first few quarters establishing foundational narrative frameworks and keynote processes. Then partner with the Director of Product Marketing to grow and hire a team underneath you, transitioning from individual contributor to people manager.
You'll work with diverse inputs—customer research, product direction, market dynamics, company vision—synthesizing them into clear, compelling narratives that scale across every surface from billboards to conference booths to sales conversations. The role values clarity over cleverness, autonomy, and first-principles thinking.
Ideal candidates come from Product Marketing, Brand/Corporate Marketing, or Content/Communications leadership backgrounds, with demonstrated ability to develop strategic narratives and lead cross-functional initiatives.
