OpenAI is seeking a Head of Analyst Relations to build and lead its global analyst relations program. This role sits within the Business Communications team and focuses on helping industry analysts understand OpenAI's enterprise products, technology capabilities, and business outcomes.
You will own the complete analyst relations strategy, including prioritizing which analyst firms and categories matter most for enterprise buying decisions. Key responsibilities include leading OpenAI's participation in priority analyst evaluations (from initial engagement through submissions and demos), building a coherent enterprise narrative across the product portfolio, and developing trusted relationships with key analysts through substantive briefings and regular updates.
You will translate analyst feedback and competitive intelligence into actionable counsel for product and go-to-market teams, measuring success through relationship strength and evaluation outcomes. You'll build repeatable programs including evaluation calendars, briefing materials, customer references, and clear KPIs. Additionally, you'll prepare executives for significant analyst moments and ensure Communications and Sales teams use third-party research accurately.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring you to move fluidly between strategic planning and execution. You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Research, Marketing, Sales, and Communications teams, often without formal authority, to align on positioning and messaging.
The role reports to the Head of Business Communications and is hybrid (3 days/week in office), ideally based in the San Francisco Bay Area, though New York-based candidates are considered.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven track record building analyst relations programs with clear priorities and strong relationships, translating analyst insights into business counsel
- Strong judgment about analyst report accuracy, evidence supporting customer and competitive claims, and confidentiality requirements
- Credibility working with technical leaders and ability to communicate sophisticated platform stories to analysts and enterprise buyers
- Excellent writing and executive communication skills; ability to align cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Demonstrated ability to move quickly between strategy and hands-on execution under tight deadlines, with focus on measuring progress through relationship strength, message understanding, and evaluation outcomes
