Anduril Industries is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance and Flight Engineering teams. This role focuses on developing operationally relevant multi-asset autonomy systems, leveraging Anduril platforms like Ghost and Altius while integrating third-party platforms into the Lattice ecosystem. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and testing GNC algorithms for autonomous air vehicle platforms; designing and assessing GNC architectures that integrate vehicles, sensors, actuators, and control algorithms; and participating in all phases of system development from concept through operation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems engineers, flight software engineers, mission autonomy engineers, and test engineers to ensure seamless system integration and performance. The role requires contributing to design reviews, safety assessments, and system documentation; using simulation and analysis tools to verify GNC models under various operating conditions; providing system engineering expertise to ensure cohesive design and implementation; and troubleshooting GNC-related issues across design, testing, and operational phases. You will work on advanced autonomous systems including platforms like Omen and Thunder, staying current with emerging technologies and trends in GNC engineering. Required qualifications include a BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering with a focus on dynamics and control; 2+ years of GNC engineering or related technical experience; strong theoretical knowledge of classical and modern control theory, estimation, and filtering techniques; exceptional understanding of VTOL and CTOL flight dynamics; experience developing GNC solutions for flight systems; proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and related GNC simulation tools; familiarity with 6-DOF simulations; and ability to travel up to 25%. A Ph.D. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred, along with practical GNC design experience and extensive aerospace system development background.
