Vasco is building the revenue context layer for AI agents—a semantic layer that structures CRM, billing, calls, and support data to enable deterministic, trustworthy revenue decisions. The company was founded by experienced entrepreneurs (Guillaume and Seb) who previously built and sold a startup together.
You will serve as the operator's point of view embedded within the product team (two designers and eight engineers). Your core responsibility is ensuring that what the team ships is something RevOps teams actually use, understand without hand-holding, and derive measurable value from. You own a dedicated portion of each development cycle for improving already-shipped features and decide where that capacity goes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate in problem framing and solution shaping sessions, identifying where proposed solutions break for real revenue operations teams before engineering begins.
- Serve as the immediate point of contact for designers and engineers on tactical questions (default values, required fields, empty states), answering with reasoning so the team can make the next decision independently.
- Define and write pass criteria for releases, stated as concrete outcomes a RevOps operator must accomplish unaided, in a form the squad can validate on its own.
- Observe real operators using the current product, translate observations into evidence, and bring data-backed recommendations to planning sessions.
- Run co-build sessions with customers and agencies, preparing them to maximize scarce time and bringing engineers and designers to listen.
- Maintain an operator reference guide that the team consults independently, so your judgment remains available without requiring your time.
You report to Seb, the CTO. Within 12 months, the designers and engineers should make operator-grade decisions without you because you've taught them the reasoning.
The company emphasizes AI-forward thinking, real autonomy, and early-stage ownership. You'll work with experienced founders still building alongside the team, in an environment where problems are unsolved and your judgment shapes what happens next.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive hands-on experience running revenue operations across multiple companies (RevOps/GTM agency or in-house at more than one organization). You've seen the same operational challenges across many different tech stacks and can distinguish common patterns from outliers.
- Proven ability to drive customer projects to completion and move others' work without direct authority, delivering on real deadlines.
- Builder mindset with AI fluency and strong product taste. You prototype rather than describe, reach for AI tools reflexively, and can distinguish workflows that actually work from those that demo well.
- Strong translation skills: you can hold a room with both designers and C-level revenue leaders in the same afternoon, making each feel understood. You're comfortable delivering difficult truths to revenue leaders.
- Responsive and interruptible: you answer quickly, teach while answering, and don't batch people into weekly slots.
- Strong writing skills. Your judgment survives in documents others use when you're not present.
- No specific years-of-experience requirement stated, but the profile typically requires several years of relevant background.
- Ability to influence cofounders and top-tier talent without formal authority.
