Kraken, a leading crypto platform founded in 2011 with over 10 million users globally, is rebuilding performance marketing from first principles. This role sits at the intersection of paid growth expertise and AI systems thinking, where you will define the logic and workflows that power the next generation of automated marketing. You will be responsible for designing automation workflows across paid growth channels—from creative fatigue detection and budget reallocation to geo-level channel mix optimization and audience signal processing. Working directly with the engineering team, you'll translate your workflow specifications into working agent automations, then QA outputs, identify gaps, and continuously refine the system based on performance data. Key responsibilities include: defining and speccing automation workflows for paid growth; collaborating with the build team to implement agent automations; reviewing and refining AI-generated creative and copy variants; establishing knowledge base inputs, rules, and guardrails for paid growth agents; monitoring workflow performance and driving continuous improvement; and extending systems thinking to other growth levers including CRO, incentives, referrals, and lifecycle as the automation engine expands. You bring 4+ years of performance or paid growth experience, having run campaigns at scale across major channels. You think in systems—mapping workflows as triggers, decisions, actions, and measurements—rather than just tactics. You're comfortable with data, can interpret signal from noise, and define what an agent should optimize for. You write clear specifications that become engineering blueprints. You have high agency and define your own work rather than waiting for direction. Nice-to-haves include marketing automation or CRM experience, A/B testing and experimentation frameworks, fintech or regulated industry background, and hands-on experience with workflow automation or no-code tools.
