Kraken, a leading crypto platform founded in 2011 and trusted by over 10 million users globally, is rebuilding performance marketing from first principles. This role sits at the intersection of paid growth expertise and AI systems thinking.
You will define and spec automation workflows for paid growth, translating manual processes—bid management, creative iteration, budget allocation, audience targeting—into intelligent agent systems. Your responsibilities include:
- Define automation workflows for paid growth channels, from creative fatigue detection to budget reallocation to geo-level channel mix optimization to audience signal processing
- Work directly with the engineering team to translate workflow specs into working agent automations
- QA agent outputs, review system-generated results, identify gaps, and define corrections that improve performance
- Refine AI-generated creative and copy variants, applying domain judgment to predict performance before data confirms it
- Define knowledge base inputs for paid growth agents: rules, guardrails, and campaign logic that should be codified and kept current
- Monitor workflow performance and continuously improve the system through iterative refinement
- Extend systems thinking to other growth levers (CRO, incentives, referrals, lifecycle) as the automation engine expands
You bring 4+ years in performance or paid growth, having run campaigns at scale across major paid channels with deep mechanical understanding. You think in systems—mapping workflows as triggers, decisions, actions, and measurements—rather than just tactics. You're comfortable reading performance dashboards, interpreting signal from noise, and defining what agents should optimize for. You have strong written communication skills (workflow specs become engineering blueprints) and high agency, defining your own work rather than waiting for direction. Prompt engineering curiosity is essential; you don't need to be an engineer but must be willing to learn precise AI communication.
Nice-to-haves include marketing automation/CRM/lifecycle experience, A/B testing and experimentation frameworks, fintech or regulated industry background, and hands-on workflow automation or no-code orchestration tools experience.
