ClickUp is hiring a Growth Product Manager to own the post-signup journey and build AI-powered systems that drive user activation, retention, and monetization. This is a hands-on builder role focused on creating the growth system that takes users from signup through adoption of ClickUp's Brain² AI features and conversion to paid plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the complete post-signup funnel: onboarding, activation, retention, and conversion to paid. You'll connect in-product experiences, in-app guidance, and lifecycle email into a cohesive system.
- Identifying where users drop off in onboarding and activation funnels, then partnering with Product to ship core experience changes that fix them (not just messaging tweaks).
- Building AI systems that generate personalized content for each user based on their intent, workspace context, and product behavior.
- Creating recursive learning loops where the system measures outcomes, learns what worked, and improves future content and decisions autonomously, with human oversight and steering.
- Designing paywall, upgrade, promo, and anti-churn experiences that reflect genuine value rather than short-term pressure.
- Working directly with founders, Product, Engineering, and Data to prototype, ship, and iterate rapidly.
This role is embedded in ClickUp's AI-native culture. You'll be expected to leverage AI daily and demonstrate AI fluency. You'll partner closely with the founders who are deeply involved in how the company builds with AI.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in growth, lifecycle, or growth product roles in self-serve SaaS, with measurable activation, retention, or monetization results.
- Proven experience optimizing onboarding and activation funnels, working closely with Product to ship changes to the core product experience, not just messaging.
- Hands-on experience building AI systems that generate user-level content, beyond templated personalization or segment routing.
- Hands-on experience building systems that recursively learn from performance data and adapt without manual rework.
- Technical fluency to connect behavioral data, AI decisioning, content generation, and delivery into one integrated system.
- Strong experimentation and product judgment; comfortable operating as an individual contributor with high ownership and minimal process overhead.
