WorkOS is a $2B-valued developer platform (Series C, $100M raised) that provides enterprise-ready authentication, SSO, directory sync, and identity infrastructure. The company powers critical features for leading AI companies including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity.
You'll join the Growth team as a hands-on Growth Marketing Generalist, sitting at the center of WorkOS's developer-focused, bottom-up GTM motion. This role owns the execution of campaigns, events, and demand programs that reach technical buyers. You'll work across the full lifecycle of growth initiatives—from brief to launch—with clear direction and real ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Events & Field Marketing: logistics and execution of developer events, conferences, and dinners (venue/vendor coordination, invites, registration, on-site support, follow-up)
- Project Management: own timelines for creative assets and copy across growth programs, keeping designers and campaigns on schedule
- Copy & Content: draft email variations, social posts, invites, and event materials for a technical audience
- Reporting: track program performance and surface insights on what to do more or less of
- Measurement & Tracking: establish clean UTM and campaign tracking foundations for confident performance measurement
- Cross-functional Partnership: collaborate with sales on event follow-up and pipeline handoff; work with design and product on assets and messaging
- Continuous Learning: build deep knowledge of WorkOS products, the developer audience, and AI-native companies
This is ideal if you thrive on variety, move fast, and want to build range across the growth function. You'll work directly with the Growth lead and partner closely with sales, design, and product.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–4 years in a marketing role at a B2B software or technology company, ideally selling to a technical audience
- Proven track record of reliably shipping marketing work end-to-end, on time, with correct details
- Ability to run multiple programs simultaneously, track moving pieces, and follow through independently
- Clear writing ability; can adapt to brand voice and write for smart, skeptical, technical readers
- Hands-on experience running or supporting events (from small dinners to conferences)
- Comfortable with modern marketing stack (marketing automation/email tools, CMS, analytics)
- Enough technical context to understand what a developer tool does and why someone would buy it
- Self-starter mentality, ideally with previous startup experience in high-growth PLG organizations
- Hands-on experience building with AI-native tools (LLMs, agents, automation in marketing workflows)
- Bonus: experience marketing developer tools, infrastructure, or API products
- Prior developer tools marketing experience is a plus but not required
