Tiney is a venture-backed UK edtech startup transforming childcare by enabling people to start and run their own childminding businesses. Founded in 2018 by alumni from Teach First and Graze, the company has raised £20m from top European VCs, operates over 1,100 childminders, and supports more than 10,000 families across England. As the largest Ofsted-regulated Childminder Agency in the UK, Tiney was named one of the UK & Ireland's 100 fastest-growing startups in 2024 and shortlisted for the Global EdTech Prize. This Growth Marketing Associate role sits alongside the Head of Growth in a small, high-impact team running test-and-learn experiments to acquire new childminders. You will own growth experiments end-to-end across multiple channels—from local activations and referral programs to LinkedIn outreach and emerging acquisition tactics. The work involves identifying high-ROI opportunities, sizing potential, setting success metrics, analyzing results using data tools (Claude Code + BigQuery), and scaling what works while cutting what doesn't. Key responsibilities include running scrappy growth experiments independently, crafting messaging that converts, measuring impact with clear data, and discovering efficient channels that drive revenue. You'll work hands-on across outreach, creative materials, and campaign execution, learning rapidly from a mentor who has walked the same path. Success means running experiments with clear context and goals, proving impact with data, identifying scalable channels at sustainable costs, and turning monthly insights into sharper bets. The ideal candidate is hungry to learn growth marketing fast, driven by measurable results, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited by both creative ideas and spreadsheet analysis. You should have either a track record of ambition and excellence, something non-trivial you've built yourself, or experience in growth, sales, analytics, or ops. Nice-to-haves include hands-on experiment experience, comfort with data and GA4, an eye for converting messaging and design, and familiarity with AI tools.
