Clay is a $5B-valued SaaS platform that helps organizations execute growth through data enrichment and workflow automation. The company recently raised a $100M Series C and crossed $100M in revenue, backed by Sequoia, CapitalG, and First Round.
You'll own Clay's paid digital motion from the ground up—a 0→1 role with real autonomy and accountability. Your core responsibility is building the SEM program end-to-end: keyword strategy, campaign architecture, bid management, landing page alignment, and conversion tracking across Google and Bing. You'll focus all spend on enterprise accounts and self-serve accounts showing enterprise intent, building a rigorous measurement framework (CPL, CPQL, tier mix, pipeline contribution) so every dollar is traceable to an outcome.
Once SEM is running smoothly, you'll have the autonomy to experiment across new channels—Reddit, X, connected TV, or wherever the data suggests. You'll build the case, run the test, own the decision on what scales, and report results back to the Growth and Sales teams.
You'll carry a pipeline goal on paid channels, working closely with Growth, Ops, and Brand to ensure tight feedback loops and continuous optimization. This role requires quantitative fluency (thinking in pipeline contribution, not impressions), builder DNA (you've gone 0→1 on a channel before), and cross-functional instinct (you work naturally with creative, ops, and sales without needing coordinators in the middle).
Ideal candidates have owned SEM end-to-end at a B2B SaaS company, understand enterprise buying dynamics, and are excited to use Clay itself to build and evangelize the product. Nice-to-haves include ABM platform experience, familiarity with Clay or the GTM engineering space, and background in PLG companies balancing self-serve and enterprise motions.
