You will lead Rippling's payroll operations in Brazil, one of the company's key growth markets in Latin America. This is a critical leadership role responsible for scaling payroll operations, launching new customers and product lines, and building a high-performance team. Key Responsibilities: - Drive product launches and customer implementations in Brazil; ensure R&D has correct requirements and Ops has proper resourcing and SOPs - Supervise end-to-end payroll implementations for new Brazilian customers, configuring and validating local payroll software (including Senior) alongside Rippling's native payroll product - Lead and motivate a team of payroll operations specialists to execute on-time, compliant payroll and deliver services meeting business and customer expectations - Hire, train, and develop new team members to support market expansion and scaling - Drive team performance to meet KPIs; monitor and report progress on requirements, KPIs, and deadlines - Develop best-in-class, repeatable processes that eliminate manual error and scale efficiently - Manage customer and employee inquiries via cases, ensuring SLAs, quality, and resolution standards are consistently met - Support issue resolution by communicating with government agencies (eSocial, INSS, Receita Federal, FGTS, Caixa), tax authorities, partners, and customers - Drive automated solutions for efficiency and process improvement - Collaborate with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure native payroll software supports Brazilian compliance requirements (eSocial, INSS, FGTS, 13th salary, férias, rescisão, and statutory obligations) Requirements: - Minimum 7+ years in Brazilian payroll processing roles - Minimum 3+ years managing payroll operations personnel - Previous experience managing teams of 6+ people - Strong understanding of end-to-end Brazilian payroll procedures and regulations, including INSS, FGTS, eSocial, IRRF, 13th salary, férias, and rescisão/termination calculations - Hands-on expertise running local payroll software such as Senior, with ability to configure, troubleshoot, and validate payroll outputs - Proven experience leading customer implementations and onboarding in Brazil, including data migration, parallel runs, and go-live support - Previous experience handling both in-house payroll processing and via partner/BPO payroll providers - Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to juggle ad-hoc projects alongside day-to-day operations - Strong experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, especially Docs/Sheets/Excel for data analysis and task organization; familiarity with Salesforce queues, JIRA, and Confluence a plus - Working experience with payroll-related systems and software - Fluency in Portuguese and strong English communication skills
