TRM Labs is seeking an experienced Global Investigator to join its Investigations Team in Israel. This role focuses on conducting complex blockchain and cryptocurrency investigations for public and private sector clients worldwide, helping agencies and businesses disrupt financial crime and illicit activity. Key responsibilities include investigating cases involving phishing, blockchain exploits, hacks, terrorism finance, money laundering, ransomware, and other illicit blockchain activity. You will produce detailed investigative reports for clients, conduct long-term research on emerging crime categories, and deliver briefings to senior leadership. The role also involves building and managing relationships with industry partners to expand TRM's intelligence sources and attribution capabilities. You will work with a team of experienced blockchain intelligence experts, engineers, and data scientists on time-sensitive investigations and ad hoc cases. The position requires hands-on technical skills in JavaScript, Python, and C++, combined with strong investigative and analytical capabilities. You must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where priorities shift rapidly and on-call responsibilities include weekend availability for critical incidents like active hacks or law enforcement support. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of investigative or analytical experience in either private or public sector, with practical blockchain and virtual currency knowledge. You should excel at structuring complex problems, communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences, and working collaboratively across functions. Exceptional attention to detail, ability to brief senior leaders, and comfort with ambiguity are essential. This is a 75% onsite role based in Israel with standard business hours, though on-call rotation and time-sensitive events may require flexibility.
