Turnitin is seeking a Global Events Specialist to plan, execute, and evaluate virtual and in-person events that promote B2B SaaS solutions in the education technology sector. You will create impactful experiences connecting the company with key stakeholders including educators, administrators, and institutional decision-makers. Key responsibilities include planning and executing webinars, conferences, workshops, and roundtables; collaborating with cross-functional teams (regional marketing, creative, sales, solutions engineering) to align on event goals and messaging; managing event budgets and vendor negotiations; supporting event marketing strategies through email campaigns and social media; identifying and coordinating speaking opportunities; handling all logistical aspects including registration, speaker coordination, and AV setup; managing event content and collateral; measuring event success through attendance, lead generation, and post-event surveys; and staying current with industry trends and best practices. You will also foster relationships with partners, sponsors, and potential collaborators to enhance event offerings. The role requires 3-5+ years of experience in virtual and in-person event planning with a strong portfolio of successful B2B events. Essential skills include excellent project management and organizational abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in event management software (CVENT, Goldcast, Zuddl, Zoom, Asana), analytical mindset with data analysis tools (Tableau, Salesforce), creative problem-solving, and adaptability. Willingness to travel for in-person events is required. Familiarity with the education technology sector and understanding of educators' and institutions' unique needs is preferred.
