Wise is seeking a Global Community Manager to join its Organic Social team and build the next chapter of growth through community. This is not a traditional community management role focused on monitoring mentions and replying to comments. Instead, you'll launch new channels, shape existing ones, and build strategies from scratch to drive user-generated content at scale.
You'll own how Wise shows up across Reddit, Threads, WhatsApp Communities, Instagram, expat forums, and emerging platforms. Working closely with organic social managers, product marketing, and customer support teams, you'll ensure community insights shape content and product decisions.
Key responsibilities include launching and growing Wise's community presence across multiple platforms; building private communities for engaged users to connect, share feedback, and access early product updates; creating community-first content that sparks real conversation and drives user-generated content through smart systems and incentives; building relationships with Wise users to surface stories, pain points, and ideas for the content calendar; running community initiatives like AMAs, feedback threads, beta testing groups, and user spotlights; building community guidelines, moderation frameworks, and response playbooks that scale across regions; upskilling customer support teams on social engagement best practices; and owning social listening and sentiment reporting to track community health and translate insights for leadership and product teams.
You bring 3–5+ years of experience in community management, social media, or audience development, ideally within fintech, tech, or global consumer brands. You understand the culture and unwritten rules of Reddit, Threads, Discord, and WhatsApp Communities, recognizing that brand presence differs across platforms. You're comfortable with social listening tools (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Pulsar, or similar) and can translate raw conversation data into clear insights. You think in systems, building scalable playbooks rather than just replying to individual posts. You're a strong writer with a natural, conversational tone who can represent Wise authentically. You're energized by building something new and can handle viral complaint threads calmly under pressure.
Nice-to-have skills include crisis communications or reputation management experience in regulated industries, comfort with sentiment dashboards and NPS reporting, multilingual abilities (Portuguese, German, Hungarian, Japanese, or others), experience building ambassador or advocacy programs from scratch, and a portfolio demonstrating community work you've led.
