Conviva is an Operational Data Platform that helps enterprises understand and optimize digital customer experiences in real-time. The company serves industry leaders like Disney, NBC, and the NFL.
You will join as a Strategic FP&A Manager, an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Finance. This is a hands-on builder role focused on financial planning, analysis, and strategic business partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the financial planning and reporting stack end-to-end: implementation, model architecture, integrations, permissions, and ongoing administration to create a single source of truth for Finance and business partners.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance analysis, modeling, and commentary work while maintaining accuracy standards.
- Partner with functional leaders on headcount, capacity, pipeline, and investment decisions; challenge assumptions and drive better business outcomes.
- Own the annual operating plan, forecasts, and scenario models used by leadership to run the business.
- Build and maintain board, executive, and departmental reporting covering ARR, retention, gross margin, burn/runway, and key SaaS metrics.
- Lead month-end FP&A close support including variance analysis, commentary, and flash reporting that explains the "why" behind the numbers.
- Build and re-engineer processes with automation to reduce spreadsheet work and improve decision quality.
- Support corporate finance activities including fundraising, board materials, investor relations, and ad-hoc strategic analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in strategic finance or FP&A with a track record of impact, ownership, and builder instincts.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of a planning/EPM/reporting platform (e.g., Aleph, Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive/Workday Adaptive Planning, Cube, Mosaic, or similar). You design, build, and administer—not just consume reports.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to compress analysis, modeling, or commentary work without sacrificing accuracy.
- Hands-on SaaS or B2B software FP&A experience with ARR/NRR, deferred revenue, cohort/retention analysis, headcount and opex planning.
- Advanced Excel skills; ideally SQL or a BI tool (Tableau, Looker, Power BI). Comfortable in NetSuite or comparable ERP as both consumer and partner to Accounting.
- Business partnership instincts: experience sitting with GMs or functional leaders, pushing back on plans, and enabling clearer decisions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment, prioritize multiple assignments, and learn quickly.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with high standards of confidentiality when handling financial and people data.
