Infera is a seed-stage AI-native platform helping MedTech engineering teams manage requirements, risk, testing, traceability, and regulatory evidence during software development. The company has a working product and real customers but is still building a repeatable sales motion.
You will be Infera's first full-time SDR, reporting directly to the Head of GTM. This is a phone-first outbound role targeting engineering, quality, and regulatory leaders at medical device companies. Your responsibilities include:
- Phone-first outbound prospecting into targeted medical device companies
- Email and LinkedIn outreach campaigns
- Conference follow-up and inbound lead qualification
- Testing adjacent regulated industries for market fit
- Maintaining clean activity logs and notes in Attio
- Providing direct market feedback to inform GTM strategy
Success is measured by held, qualified conversations and sourced pipeline—not vanity metrics. Month-one target is 4 qualified outbound meetings, ramping to 8 in month two and 12+ monthly thereafter. Each meeting must be held and pass a written qualification rubric; the team will also track conversion to opportunities and pipeline value.
The role offers real upside: direct access to the GTM leader building the sales function, meaningful input on how the sales organization develops, and a clear path to an Account Executive role within months for strong performers. The risk is equally real—the market is technical, the playbook is unfinished, messaging will evolve, and some experiments will fail. There is no established brand, large SDR team, or guaranteed promotion timeline.
The company prefers candidates in Austin who can work hybrid (2–3 days per week at Kollective coworking space) but will consider remote candidates with strong track records. Travel will be limited initially; high performers can earn conference attendance opportunities as the role scales.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–2 years of sales experience
- Strong phone skills and comfort with cold outbound conversations
- Ability to learn a technical market and communicate about it clearly
- Comfort with rapidly changing priorities and messaging
- Good written communication and reliable follow-through
- Interest in transitioning to an Account Executive role
- No specific degree or SaaS background required; sales experience from other domains is valued
- MedTech, healthcare, regulated-industry, or technical sales experience is a strong advantage but not required
- Military veterans are encouraged to apply
