Foundry Robotics is building an AI-native robotics manufacturing company focused on deploying advanced assembly and production capability for leading robotics companies and national-security-critical hardware. You'll be the first dedicated marketer, overseeing how Foundry shows up in the world: website, events, social, press, and product narrative.
This is a builder's role requiring hands-on execution alongside strategic direction. Near term, you'll work through external partners—design firms, copywriters, contractors—setting briefs, holding quality bars, and making final calls. You'll also directly execute: opening the CMS, writing posts, running booths. Over 6-12 months, the role scales as you hire a marketing analyst and potentially expand the team further. You report to the VP of Business and work closely with the CEO, GTM team, and engineering leaders.
Key responsibilities include:
**Brand & Product Marketing:** Develop positioning and messaging for technical audiences (AI robotics researchers, manufacturing engineers, defense program leads, investors). Create core narrative assets: sales decks, one-pagers, case studies, demo scripts, technical content. Steward the brand system across all surfaces. Stand up analytics, conversion tracking, and SEO for the website; own site publishing cadence with internal technical support.
**Social & Owned Channels:** Build strategy, calendar, and execution on LinkedIn and X. Work with partners and internal teams to produce footage, deployment milestones, technical explainers, and founder-led thought leadership. Report on audience quality, engagement, share of voice, referral traffic, and inbound sources. Scope and eventually manage an analyst for production and reporting.
**Events & Demand Gen:** Run events end-to-end (trade shows, customer/partner dinners, demo days). Decide investment priorities. Own booth and demo development, shipping, staffing, run-of-show, and pre/post outreach systems. Work with GTM leaders to build foundational engine: inbound capture, lead routing, nurture, clean handoff to sales. Own CRM and automation stack. Deliver monthly scorecard: spend, sourced/influenced pipeline, cost per opportunity, channel-level ROI.
**Requirements:**
- 6+ years in B2B marketing, including hands-on execution (not just directing)
- Owned brand and product marketing—positioning and messaging for sales teams
- Managed external agencies (web, PR, creative, events) with strong outcomes
- Run website projects end-to-end with design/development partners
- Hands-on events experience: built booth plans, worked shows, followed up on leads
- Strong writing skills (critical for this role)
- Taste and point of view; ability to critique agency work and push back constructively
- Credibility with engineers; ability to earn their trust through real engagement
**Nice to have:** Hardware, robotics, industrial automation, or deep tech marketing experience; familiarity with defense or government-adjacent buyers; HubSpot/Marketo/Salesforce fluency; Figma proficiency; experience managing junior marketers or contractors.
