Airwallex is a unified payments and financial platform serving over 250,000 global businesses. You'll be the founding GTM hire for T:0, a new autonomous accounting infrastructure team within Airwallex that aims to make finance run itself through continuous closing, reconciliation, and reporting.
As the first GTM person, you'll build the go-to-market engine from scratch with no playbook. This is hands-on work: you'll personally execute outbound prospecting (lists, sequences, messaging, follow-up), triage inbound leads, and close deals directly. Your goal is to move US seed-to-Series-A startups from first call to paying customer in a single conversation, designing for high-volume, low-friction sales with a path toward self-serve and product-led growth.
Key responsibilities include owning the CRM and sales process end-to-end (defining stages, maintaining data integrity, building pipeline transparency), expanding the ICP as the business grows (including longer, multi-stakeholder cycles), generating your own pipeline in partnership with the Head of Marketing, and aligning with Airwallex's broader Startups team.
You've been the first or only GTM person at an early-stage startup before and enjoyed it. You've built a sales motion from scratch, not just operated an existing one. You're comfortable with quick founder conversations and high-volume selling, and you prefer scrappy execution today over perfect execution next week. You book calls yourself and close deals. Experience selling fintech products (especially accounting/bookkeeping/founder finance stack), building and managing CRMs, and using AI for sales automation is preferred but not required.
This is a founding-track role inside a scaled company ($11B valuation, 2,300+ employees, 27 offices globally) with startup speed and infrastructure backing. You'll work with exceptional teammates on a high-visibility problem and grow your career building the future of global banking.
