Hera is building a new profession in healthcare: the Hero, a dedicated care manager for families navigating complex medical situations. The company has raised $34M from Accel and Bain Capital Ventures, partnered with top health systems (Weill Cornell, NYU Langone, UCSF, USC, Mount Sinai), and achieved 10x revenue growth organically over six months. As Founding Growth Marketer, you will own how families discover and engage with Hera. This is not a traditional growth role—families don't yet know this category exists or what to search for. Your core responsibilities include: **Deep Customer Understanding**: Immerse yourself in the mental models of families you serve. Understand trigger events ("mom keeps falling," "dad was discharged"), the communities they turn to for answers, and hesitations that prevent them from seeking help. **Market Education**: Develop messaging and language that makes Hera instantly understandable to families in crisis. Translate their lived experience into clear, trustworthy communication. **Demand Engine Ownership**: Build and run direct-to-family channels across search, content, community, social, and emerging channels. Own the full funnel from awareness through conversion, focusing on what builds trust and drives families to reach out. **Experimental Rigor**: Ship scrappy tests rapidly, kill what doesn't work, and double down on winners. The company has demonstrated originality (viral art show for an 88-year-old artist, talent show with performers 65+)—bring that same creative energy to growth. **Ideal Profile**: You are analytical and truth-seeking, understanding unit economics and commercial viability. You're creative and generative, constantly producing new hypotheses and campaigns. You're obsessed with customer research—sitting with families, listening to calls, reading messages before writing copy. You thrive in ambiguity, learning quickly through experiments before adding rigor. You understand that trust is the core asset and moat; you'd never sacrifice long-term trust for short-term conversions. You're based in NYC or willing to relocate and work in person with the founding team (Jenny, Myles, Connie) and team members from Palantir and Headway.
