As a Forward Deployment Strategist, you will own the technical and operational delivery of enterprise implementations, working directly with CFOs, controllers, and accounting operations teams. You will be the primary interface between customers, Product, and Engineering, translating complex accounting workflows into well-defined implementation plans and managing deployment timelines, dependencies, and milestones.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading multiple enterprise implementations to ensure customers achieve automation and close-efficiency goals
- Acting as the bridge between customers, Product, and Engineering, translating accounting workflows into implementation plans
- Managing deployment timelines, dependencies, and milestones while removing blockers and coordinating technical resources
- Creating standardized frameworks, tools, and templates for deploying Maxima across customers and industries
- Supporting pre-sales scoping and discovery to define requirements and feasibility for enterprise prospects
- Bringing field insights into roadmap priorities and future platform capabilities
- Identifying patterns across deployments, capturing best practices, and improving delivery velocity
This is a cross-functional role requiring daily collaboration with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success. You will shape the deployment methodology itself and help turn field insights into repeatable playbooks.
The role is based in Maxima's downtown Toronto office near Union Station, with an expectation of 4-5 days per week in-office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in enterprise customer-facing technical roles such as solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, or technical implementation

- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience designing scalable processes and standardizing workflows
- Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high degree of ownership
- Curiosity about AI and its applications to enterprise operations
