Cohere is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure Specialist to lead end-to-end deployments of North, Cohere's enterprise AI workspace platform, in private cloud and on-premises environments. You will serve as a bridge between Cohere's core product and enterprise clients' engineering teams, solving complex infrastructure challenges for industry leaders like RBC, Dell, and LG CNS across finance, healthcare, and telecommunications sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead comprehensive deployment planning, configuration, testing, and rollout of North in private/hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
- Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices
- Design and implement deployment strategies tailored to client needs while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related technical issues to minimize downtime
- Execute at high velocity with high quality to exceed customer expectations
- Travel 20–40% for on-site customer and partner engagement
Required qualifications:
- Proven experience deploying enterprise software in private/hybrid cloud environments
- Strong expertise administering large-scale production Kubernetes clusters with Helm
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, and virtualization
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control
- Direct customer-facing experience and comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Fluency in French
Bonus qualifications include GPU node orchestration & scheduling experience and understanding of the intersection between GPU infrastructure, inference systems, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
