Ema is building an Agentic AI platform that transforms enterprise productivity by automating repetitive business processes. Founded by former executives from Google, Coinbase, Flipkart, and Okta, the company is backed by Accel, Naspers/Prosus, Section32, and angels including Sheryl Sandberg and Dustin Moskovitz. Ema operates from Silicon Valley with offices in London, Bangalore, and Vancouver.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will embed directly within enterprise customers and partners across EMEA and North America on rotational deployments (e.g., six months in London, six in Bangalore, six in New York). This is a hybrid role combining software engineering, product management, solutions architecture, and sales—but distinct from each.
Your core responsibilities include: identifying high-value automation opportunities by observing customer operations firsthand; designing messy business processes into clean agentic workflows on Ema's platform; building working demos that prove undeniable value; winning technical conversations by addressing objections and demonstrating feasibility; and implementing production workflows that customers trust and adopt.
You will own the entire customer journey from initial discovery through live usage—not pilots that die, but real, running systems. You work independently, embedded in the customer's environment, armed with Ema's agentic platform and your own judgment.
Ideal candidates are technical enough to write code and build demos; persuasive enough to read audiences and tell compelling stories; product-minded enough to see streamlined flows in chaos; and AI-first in mindset.
